A treatment takes approximately 30 minutes,
depending on the areas treated.
Tiny amounts of Ellansé are injected into the skin using an ultrafine needles, so any discomfort is minimal. It’s quick, simple, virtually painless, and gives instant results.
Ellansé should not be used in (or close to) sites where previous skin augmentation procedures have been applied. Please speak to your physician for more information.
Volumising effects and a reduction in wrinkles and folds can be seen immediately after treatment. Ellansé will then gradually stimulate the production of your body’s own collagen to treat the underlying causes of fical ageing for long-lasting and natural-looking results.
Ellansé is composed of unique Polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres and Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) carrier gel, all naturally broken down by the body into carbon dioxide and water and then eliminated without leaving any traces in your body.
You’ll need to avoid hot bathing and vigorous excercise for 24 hours after treatment. Over-exposure to the sun and UV light should also be avoided for 1 week after treatment.
Natural-looking and immediate results will last from 18 months, depending on which Ellansé option your physician recommends for you. The results are maintained for the expected duration of effect according to the Ellansé option chosen, enabling you to avoid multiple sessions.
With Ellansé, only one session is needed for immediate result and long-lasting correction, making Ellansé a cost-effective treatment that gives excellent value for money.
As with all fillers, there may be some swelling, localised redness at the injection site, itching and tenderness immediately after treatment. These are the result of the injection itself and generally resolve themselves. A full set of possible side effects is listed in the product’s ‘Instructions for Use’. After Ellansé has been injected, your physician may mould and gently massage the product into place. We don’t advise you to do any further massage to the treated area.
You should avoid applying make-up to the treated area(s) for the first 24 hours after treatment, and then you’ll be able to use make-up as normal.
Avoid vigorous exercise for 3 days, and minimise exposure of the treated area to extreme heat (excessive sun and UV light, including sunbeds) or cold weather until any initial swelling and redness has resolved.
Like all procedures of this type there is a possibility of adverse events, although not everybody experiences them. These adverse events include but are not limited to infection, minimal acute inflammatory tissue reaction (redness, swelling, rash, ordema, erythema, lumps/nodules etx.), pain (which may be temporary or persistent in nature), transient haematoma or bruising. You’ll need to avoid major dental procedures for 3-4 weeks after treatment.
It’s best to wait until any injection-related symptoms have resolved to see the results, but you will quickly notice the difference in lines and wrinkles. Then over the next few months, Ellansé will stimulate your body’s natural collagen production to give you long-lasting results.
